POSITION SUMMARY

The Principal Solution Architect is a senior, strategic role responsible for ensuring that VibeIQ solutions align with customer long-term business objectives, enterprise architecture principles, and the platform’s product strategy.

This role operates above day-to-day delivery, partnering with both internal senior leaders and external customer stakeholders to guide solution direction, assess functional & architectural soundness of solutions, and advise on complex or high-risk engagements. While informed by deep technical and functional understanding, this role is not responsible for hands-on configuration, integration buildout, or implementation execution).  Instead, you will be responsible for guiding teams through their solution design process, providing oversight of solutions, and optimizing solution design processes for scale.

The Principal Solution Architect acts as a trusted advisor to customers, VibeIQ’s Customer Success team, and external partners - helping ensure what we sell, build, and deploy today remains viable and scalable tomorrow.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Solution Oversight & Architectural Integrity

1. Guide, review, and validate proposed solution approaches for complex customer engagements
2. Identify solution risks and misalignments before they impact delivery or platform health
3. Ensure customer solutions align with VibeIQ’s architectural principles and long-term product direction
4. Act as a final escalation point for solution design risk or ambiguity

Strategic Advisory

5. Serve as a senior solution advisor for complex or enterprise customers
6. Partner with executive and senior technical stakeholders to align VibeIQ solutions with long-term business and technology strategies
7. Provide guidance on platform fit, scalability, and future-state architecture
8. Support senior-level discussions during critical moments such as initial platform selection, expansion planning, or escalations

Mentorship & Enablement

9. Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to Technical Solution Architects and Senior Functional Consultants
10. Help elevate solution quality across teams through design reviews and knowledge sharing
11. Influence how teams think about scalability, extensibility, and long-term impact

Internal Product Stewardship

12. Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to inform product strategy based on enterprise customer needs
13. Provide guidance on when customer requirements should influence roadmap prioritization versus when they should not
14. Help define and evolve VibeIQ’s solutioning principles, guardrails, and implementation models
15. Serve as a connective tissue between delivery realities and long-term product vision

Pre-Sales 

16. Partner with Sales and Customer Success leadership during high-complexity or high-value sales cycles
17. Help shape solution narratives that set appropriate expectations with enterprise customers
18. Validate feasibility and architectural soundness of proposed solutions prior to commitment
19. Support executive-level technical and solution conversations during late-stage sales or renewals

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

1. 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, technical consulting, or enterprise SaaS delivery
2. Strong industry experience in retail, footwear, or apparel
3. Demonstrated experience advising executive stakeholders on complex technology decisions
4. Experience working with PLM platforms (FlexPLM experience strongly preferred)
5. Excellent communication skills, particularly in executive and ambiguous situations
